Manchester, NH (July 21, 2008) —Building on the success of two major carpet brands, Flooring America and Flooring Canada will expand their collection of superior carpeting by introducing new, highly versatile lines of both residential and commercial carpets. These new carpets by Resista and Downs will debut at their “Vision 2 Action” convention in Nashville, Tenn., on July 21-23.
Both brands are mainstays within the Flooring America soft-surface line. Resista’s reputation rests on the latest technology in spill and stain protection, while Downs is known for high performance, offering the strongest stain warranty in the industry along with fashionable styling. According to Randy Upson, vice president of merchandising for Flooring America and Flooring Canada, the new carpets from these two brands are remarkably well-rounded, offering a blend of high fashion and rugged dependability.
“Resista carpets are known for their affordability and ease of cleaning,” Upson explained, “but the new residential Soft Style carpets offer exciting new styles, colors and textures, too. And they feel simply amazing underfoot.”
Flooring America and Flooring Canada will display exciting new styles ranging from textured saxony to tweed. The Soft Style display will also capture the carpets’ new level of comfort, which owes to softer, more yielding construction.
Resista’s commercial tiles will also be on display, having generated lots of buzz at their January soft launch in Houston. The commercial-grade tiles are ideal for commercial applications, as well as residential basement use. “There aren’t many messes that Resista carpets can’t stand up to,” said Upson, “but these tiles are a cinch to switch out if need be. Just replace the damaged tiles, and you can avoid buying a whole new carpet or having it professionally cleaned.”
A variety of exclusive patterns and new supporting colors will be included in the Vision 2008 display and will carry Resista’s unprecendented wear warranty.
In addition, Downs, whose fashionable, high-performance carpets come with Flooring America and Flooring Canada’s exclusive 5-star Confidence Plus warranty, has introduced a distinctively stylish line of commercial carpets.
