Manchester, NH (July 21, 2008) —Flooring America and Flooring Canada members will soon receive the highest-level accessibility to their superior training programs through a newly restructured, blended delivery program focused on the message, “No Member Left Behind.”
“If you embrace training as a foundation of your business, your people will grow your business for you through their knowledge of sales, product and operational excellence,” said Jim Duff, president of Flooring Canada. “So we’re ensuring that every member, no matter where they are located, has equal access to our excellent training programs. We’re giving them options so that they can choose the method that works best for them and their employees.”
Among the new delivery options additions will be to add online and webinar training programs to the existing methods of delivering a variety of training to members. This new approach not only improves accessibility to training programs it also maximizes their effectiveness. “Research tells us that a diversified learning environment is the most effective,” said Vinnie Virga, president of Flooring America. “So we are going to have regional training much like we did in the past, with an in-person instructor, and the Flooring America on-line university is going to have new and even more pertinent classes. Plus, webinars will deliver training right to the doorstep of every single member.”
In-store training offers four categories from which to choose: Technology, Product, Sales Professionals, and Management/PR. And new Online University courses will cover: Technical Installation Skills, OSHA Courses, At-Home Shopping, and the Customer-Centered Selling System.
In addition, 60-minute webinars will be offered to all. These highly accessible, interactive and fun sessions will cover the following topics: Time Management, Selling with Financing, Prospecting Loyalty, Coaching for Success, Closing with Confidence, and The Value of New Vinyl.
“By offering these comprehensive training courses to employees, our members can be confident that their sales people understand how to get greater average tickets, use financing effectively, leverage customers for referrals, and secure greater close rates,” said Virga. “With this knowledge, everyone on the team can work together to increase their store’s bottom line.”
