CCA Global Partners and FCIF Continue Golf Tournament Tradition
Nearly $750,000 Raised for the FCIF
Manchester, NH (October 1, 2008) – CCA Global Partners, one of the largest privately held companies in the United States, continued their long standing tradition of supporting the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF). The sixth annual Alan Greenberg Charity Golf Tournament was held in Stone Mountain, GA on Thursday September 25th, 2008. Since the first tournament in 2003, the event has raised nearly $750,000 for the FCIF.
The tournament was started by Co-Founders Howard Brodsky and Alan Greenberg in 2003 to raise funds for FCIF, a philanthropic organization dedicated to financially assisting those who are or have been affiliated with the floor covering industry that experience catastrophic illnesses, severe disabilities, or other life-altering hardships. In 2007, the tournament was renamed in honor of Greenberg who passed away last year after a courageous battle with cancer.
“In the economic climate we face today, it is more important than ever to support organizations like the FCIF that assist those who have fallen on hard times.” said Brodsky. “We are proud to be able to once again host this tournament and are thankful for the support of our industry friends and colleagues.”
Over 150 flooring industry leaders across North America traveled to Stone Mountain, GA to play golf and enjoy the dinner and awards reception afterwards. Through sponsorships and golf tournament participation this year’s event raised $145,000 for the FCIF.
