CCA Global Partners Presents Lifetime Achievement Award at Global Summit in Denver
Denver, CO (August 16, 2006) – At their historic Global Summit in Denver, CCA Global Partners presented a special Lifetime Achievement Award to floor covering industry veteran, Harold Brewington. Brewington owns Carpet One Floor & Home, Flooring America and Lighting One locations, all in the Fayetteville, NC area.
Though he joined CCA Global Partners just six years ago, he has always had a passion for the floor covering industry and is a natural businessman. He began working in his father’s General Store at the age of 14 and later worked as a laborer with Circle Flooring in New York City. In 1966, he used his savings to buy a van and some floor sanding equipment and started his own business, America Flooring and Tile. This endeavor has been the cornerstone for his current businesses for more than 40 years.
Being a smart businessman, Brewington expanded his business into carpet when nylon carpet became popular in the 1970s. He continued to grow his business over the next two decades, briefly leaving the floor covering industry in the late 1990s. In 2000, he re-entered the industry, opening his Flooring America location, and has never looked back.
CCA Global Partners chose Brewington as the recipient of The Lifetime Achievement Award because he embodies so many of the core values of the company, from dedication to customers to the power of working as a group. During his years of experience in the industry, Brewington has made individual accomplishments and has built solid business partnerships to achieve his success. As an independent retailer, he has made a commitment to strengthen his community and to serve his customers. Through his passion for the floor covering industry and his attention to these values, Brewington has continued to grow his business; with all of his retail locations combined, he expects to reach sales of more than $26 million this year.
Co-CEOs and Co-Chairmen Howard Brodsky and Alan Greenberg presented the award to Brewington on stage during the Global Summit.
